Pakistan Flood Relief
By now you’ve heard that the Indus River system in Pakistan is seeing the worst flood in history. The extent of the damage is colossal. At least one-third of the country is under water and 30 million people havebeen displaced from their homes. And the monsoon continues.
We are gathering funds for a few communities with whom we have been continuously connected over the years. And we are asking you to send what you can so we can help our folks find shelter, food, and dry land.

We are sending aid to
Medical Camps in Sindh
that have been going village to village and newly formed “island” to “island”, traveling by boat, in order to offer basic medical aid to the flood affectees;
Rations for Dalit Haris in Sindh
led by long-term activist Veeru Kohli who is a former bonded laborer who freed herself, her family, and (in normal times) runs an underground railroad to free others from bondage. Directly affected by the flood in the Indus, her communities homes are underwater, and she has been moving from village to village bringing assistance to peasant communities.
Water Purifiers
sent to folks in Sindh where water is undrinkable and water-borne diseases, including skin conditions and gastrointeritits, are running rampant.
Dalit Haris, displaced from their village in the Hyderabad area because of the floods, living in makeshift tents at the side of the main road.
